Potteric Carr Nature Reserve
Wildlife

Potteric Carr lies at the northern limit of many species of plants and animals with a southerly distribution in Britain. As a result of this, and the diversity of habitats found on the Reserve from open water, through willow carr, marshland and the largest area of reedswamp in South Yorkshire, to mature woodland, there is a wide range of wildlife to be found. Some aspects of the wildlife, such as birds, flowers, butterflies and dragonflies have been well documented.
